I feel like it was just the weekend and we are already to Wednesday....and we are already to the 2nd day of March! Time is just whizzing by and it kinda freaks me out. I feel like I am so far behind on everything I need to get done or want to get done. I'm really starting to take a look at how I manage my time and see where I can better myself when it comes to really getting the most out of the hours of the day. We are still sick around here - well, the Mister isn't - he already had it but Bug and I are stopped up, runny noses (how is it that your nose can be stopped up but running at the same time?!), itchy eyes, bad coughs, etc. I thought poor Bug was going to hack up a lung last night.....so needless to say I feel like I've been dragging through everything especially my workouts. I can't wait to be well again, I detest being sick.
We attempted to get my Music Facebook page going last night but FB has complicated the crap out of it and after several attempts just to suggest the page to friends I gave up in complete frustration. So I'm going to take a look at it here in a little bit and see if I can figure it out. We have one track completely done that we wanted to share with everyone before the EP is complete - but that seems to be easier said then done. We are looking at just doing a music Myspace page now. Yeah, I know, FB has taken over Myspace when it comes to personal pages but my hubby says that when it comes to bands/musicians Myspace still does the best with it's pages. And the way FB is set up now I'm ready to forget it all together!
I got my hair cut Monday - it was about time and it feels SO much healthier now. It looks so short but that's the length it's been in the back the whole time, I just removed the longer, feathery pieces off the front. They were thin and dry from where they have been razored and textured back when it was short. They needed to go....So now I can work on growing it out evenly. I remember why I'm always scared to cut my hair short - not because I don't like it short, I do, it's growing it back out that I hate with a passion!
We spent most of the day yesterday running errands - looks like we have a few more to run today. I'm tired of running (driving actually!) around but it has to be done. I am still trying to get the correct paperwork to get Bug registered for preschool but that has proven a little difficult. I went to the grocery store yesterday, with a list but forgot a couple of things. I hate that!
Bug had dance Monday night - this is her and her "friend", Dakota, goofing off before lessons. Yeah, we are still there for now. I haven't taken the time to try and find another place to take her and now that I've hung out for a bit it's not quite as awful as I thought but still not where I want her to be long term.....I'm giving it another month and if they continue to do the exact same thing they've been doing for this past month she is most certainly gone. Kids need variety and so far they are doing the same moves and the same little songs every week.....I'm bored already just listening!
As I've mentioned before I'm in the midst of getting a little headband/hair bow "business" together. Mainly for the fun of it and to hopefully bring in a little extra money over the summer and hopefully beyond! The salon I go to has offered to let me sale them there and I'm so excited about it I can hardly stand it!!!! So I have like a dozen or more I need to get made and over to the salon asap so I can get to selling. I officially sold my first one Monday and that was quite exciting - although right now, for the first little bit, most of the money will go right back into the "business" to get everything I need to really get going. But I'm going to be working on a system to put different percentages into different areas. The business side of it kinda makes my head spin but I'll get it! The Etsy shop will be open soon, I'm working on that and I'm going to put them up on FB too, possibly. I made this cute little clip for Bug last night. We have a hard time keeping her bangs out of her face and I like to pin them back but I haven't been able to find a bow or clip that stays in her thin hair but these do really well because of the felt inside. They cling to her hair really well!!! So I'm going to making up some small ones like this for little girls and some larger ones for adults - some ladies don't like the headband, my sis complains that after a day of wearing them they hurt her head so she prefers the clips so I'm trying to make sure I have a range of things to offer....and hopefully soon, once my Etsy shop is up, I can do a few giveaways on some blogs. If you would be interested in hosting a giveaway from my shop please let me know!!!
But for now I've got to run work out, clean up, run errands, keeping creating and get the ball rolling....oh, and did I mention my hubby's birthday is next week? And Bug's party is just 17 days away?!!! Good Lord.
wow those cupcakes look too pretty to eat. Maybe that's the point. haha. I don't think I could eat that much icing. Plus, I normally take the icing off before I eat any cupcake. I pretty much just like the cake.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to rest soon. I have tons of errands and chores to do here as well and to tell you the truth I don't want to.
Have a great day!
