My Exceptions

I am absolutely in love with this song by Paramore! Incredibly simple and oh, so beautiful. I wish I could write something so gorgeous. I'm not a big Paramore fan at all, not into that whole "I hate the world, Emo" stuff but this song is gorgeous! I think it shows the lead singers vulnerable side. And I feel the lyrics so much - watching your parents get hurt over and over by people they trust, and later in life watching your spouse or your family go through it is hard. It makes you wanna swear off people all together. And then when you go through it yourself it makes it all the more real. But no matter how many times we get hurt and are torn down, stabbed and stepped on we can always find that one exception! I am thankful that my exceptions go beyond just one but I am so thankful that I do have someone who loves me as much as my husband and beautiful daughter do! They've taught me the truest meaning of love - they are my "exceptions"!
